Back in 2010, we engineered this High-Speed Automatic Powder Coating Masking System to insert silicone cords into female threads prior to powder coating. Powered by compressed air and precision-cut to length, this system processed two parts every 4 seconds — seamlessly integrated into a full-scale Chain-On-Edge system including washing, masking, coating, curing, and de-masking.
This project remains one of our favorite examples of how automation and creativity can solve tough coating challenges.
